16th Eastern Neighbours Film Festival (Den Haag, 27 november-1 december)

Geschatte leestijd: < 1 minuut

The Eastern Neighbours Film Festival (ENFF) began in the Netherlands in 2008 with the idea to offer Dutch and international audiences a unique glimpse into the cinema of their neighbours from Eastern and Southern Europe. This annual event presents the most recent, exciting, and thought‐provoking films, from countries with small, but often powerful film industries, that mostly cannot be seen in The Netherlands. The film program includes feature films, documentaries, shorts, and animations; most of the selected films are Dutch premieres. Each year the film program is accompanied by numerous side events, designed to educate and initiate new partnerships. The presence of prominent guests, directors, actors, producers, and their direct communication with the audience makes ENFF an inspiring event for every participant and cinema-goer. Through the screened films, thematic debates, masterclasses, and exciting encounters with our guests, the festival creates a cultural arena where people can come together, engage, discuss and enjoy high-quality cinema.

Next to the main festival, ENFF organises special On Tour screenings in some of the most beautiful cinemas around the Netherlands. This year, our On Tour program will include screenings in Amsterdam, Utrecht, Rotterdam and The Hague.

The films are screened in their original language and have English subtitles. The screenings are typically followed by an informal gathering and a free cocktail.
